Hurd Creek Residence

Climbing up the mountain like many of the bygone Colorado mining structures, this home’s reclaimed beetle-kill siding was treated to give the appearance of 100-year-old wood. The site posed a challenge, with an extremely steep and rocky cliff; the solution: An upper floor with sweeping views of the valley and beyond. The top level includes a great room, kitchen, covered deck and retreat room. Built by Cabin Creek Carpentry. this home was featured in Colorado Mountain News Media’s former real estate magazine “Mountain House & Home.”
